Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly capable Technical Team Lead & Project Manager with deep expertise in software development and data domain. This position will lead a team of developers and data engineers in building high-quality, scalable data systems while also managing projects that ensure reliable, validated, and accessible data across the organization. You will be responsible for driving technical excellence, maintaining robust engineering practices, and ensuring that data products meet high standards of quality and usability.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership

  • Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of data-centric software systems, APIs, and platforms.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices in software development including code standards, CI/CD, unit testing, and design reviews.
  • Champion data quality practices by designing frameworks and processes for automated validation, anomaly detection, and data profiling.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement scalable solutions that ensure data consistency, accuracy, and integrity.
  • Oversee the implementation of metadata management, data lineage tracking, and monitoring solutions.

Project Management

  • Manage end-to-end project execution for data platform enhancements and software feature delivery.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, resources, risks, and milestones.
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration between engineering, QA, analytics, and business stakeholders.
  • Monitor progress, facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies, and ensure delivery meets requirements and timelines.
  • Communicate effectively with leadership and stakeholders, translating technical goals into business value.

Core Focus Areas:

  • Software Development: Scalable architecture, microservices, API development, modular design, CI/CD, automated testing.
  • Data Quality Assessment: Data profiling, validation frameworks, reconciliation logic, root-cause analysis of data issues, and quality KPIs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in software or data engineering, including 4+ years in a technical leadership or project management role.
  • Proficiency in Python, Java/Scala, and SQL; familiarity with Spark or similar distributed processing frameworks.
  • Experience with modern software development tools: Git, Jenkins/GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, Open Shift.
  • Hands-on experience with data infrastructure (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Starburst).
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies; certification (e.g., PMP, CSM) is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and team leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience building internal developer platforms or data-as-a-service offerings.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Domain experience in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, etc.) with a focus on data quality compliance.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master’s degree preferred

    Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

    $141,440.00 - $212,160.00
