We are seeking a high-caliber professional for the position of Vice President, FX In-Business Non-Financial Risk & Control Manager (Internal Job Title: Sr Business Associate- C13), based in Tampa, Florida.

In this role, you will support the management of non-financial risk, data, and In-Business Risk & Control within Foreign Exchange in Markets. Responsibilities include reviewing, monitoring, and coordinating activities related to controls and data governance.

The ideal candidate will possess proven leadership abilities and strong collaboration skills to work effectively with stakeholders across various departments, including Markets, Compliance, Finance, HR, O&T, Data, and Risk. Analytical and interpersonal skills are essential for advancing and simplifying the control environment within the FX business.

A successful candidate will have the following attributes:

  • An understanding of foreign exchange, first and second line of defense concepts

  • Operational risk management

  • Project management and technology capabilities

  • Working understanding of sales and trading processes / systems / data flows

Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to the review, simplification, and governance of data and controls for the FX business.

  • Assesses and incorporates evolving business, regulatory, and market information needs into FX control processes and applications.

  • Supports the review and challenge process for effective control design and risk mitigation, including implementation, operation, monitoring, deficiency management, and issue escalation, as required by Control Standards.

  • Applies knowledge of the business, products, and services to identify and implement efficient control points and processes.

  • Demonstrates risk awareness in business decisions, safeguarding the firm's reputation and the FX business by ensuring compliance with laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment, and transparently escalating and managing control issues.

  • Serves as a technical expert and advisor on non-financial risk business/control/data decisions.

  • Performs other duties and functions as assigned.

  • Operates effectively with limited direct supervision.

  • Exercises independent judgment and autonomy.

  • Acts as a subject matter expert (SME) for senior stakeholders and team members.

Qualifications:

  • 6-10+ years of relevant experience, preferably within the financial services industry.

  • Demonstrated technical expertise in a relevant business area.

  • Experience with risk and control management programs supporting Citi Businesses (e.g., Issues Management, MCA, Audit Support, Process Improvements), and a clear understanding of how these programs achieve functional objectives.

  • Proven communication and diplomacy skills to effectively guide and influence others.

  • Experience managing competing priorities in a complex and dynamic environment.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to make independent decisions.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel / VBA is a positive).

Education:

  • Bachelor's/University degree, potentially Master’s degree.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$113,840.00 - $170,760.00
