Senior Group Manager ServiceNow/Workday Delivery
The Senior Group Manager ServiceNow/Workday Delivery is accountable for management of HR SaaS Platform Engineering area. The Platform Engineering team is a global team of application configurators/developers and administrators responsible for supporting and enhancing core HR SaaS applications, including Workday and ServiceNow. As a senior leader within the Technology Team, this person will oversee the configuration, customization, maintenance, and application administration for of these critical systems, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance. A strong technical and risk mindset is crucial for this role, as this person will be responsible for safeguarding sensitive employee data and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and Citi Policies. Excellent communication skills required to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication may be necessary. Accountable for the end results of an area. This person will also play a key role in defining and implementing platform engineering strategies to optimize HR technology ecosystem. Additionally, will manage SaaS contracts and may oversee the onboarding of new SaaS solutions within HR. Will manage resources, budgets, and personnel, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement, with a focus on delivering exceptional user experiences while maintaining the highest security standards.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of Workday and ServiceNow specialists, conducting performance evaluations, hiring, and disciplinary actions. This will require the ability to facilitate understanding of broader organizational tenets and strategic goals for department
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the ongoing support, maintenance, and enhancement of various HR SaaS applications across SaaS portfolio.
- Manage budgets, resources, and project timelines, delivering high-quality solutions within established constraints.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the team, exploring and implementing new features and functionalities within Workday, Kainos, and ServiceNow.
- Think in terms of architecture, not just code. Have detailed knowledge of the work done by your team and proactively work to improve consistency and integration between your software and related software (owned by other teams).
- Demonstrate technical influence over team, either via a collaborative software effort or by increasing their productivity and effectiveness by driving software engineering best practices (e.g., Security, Quality, Operational Excellence, etc.).
- Collaborate effectively with HR stakeholders and other technology teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment with business needs.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and Citi's policies, with a particular focus on data privacy, security, and access control.
- Champion a risk-aware culture within the team.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team environment, promoting collaboration, growth, and development.
- Negotiate and manage SaaS contracts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for Citi, including robust security provisions and data protection clauses.
- Oversee the onboarding and implementation of new HR SaaS solutions, including requirements gathering, vendor selection, and Info Sec reviews with a strong focus on security and risk assessment.
- Define and implement platform engineering strategies to optimize the performance, scalability, and reliability of our HR technology ecosystem.
- Collaborate with other engineering & product teams to establish and maintain best practices for platform engineering within Citi, with a focus on security, risk management, and compliance.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in application development or administration, with a strong focus on HR SaaS applications.
- Proven extensive experience with Workday and ServiceNow, including configuration, customization, and Workday integration.
- Demonstrated experience managing and leading High caliber global technology teams.
- Proven experience in SaaS platform engineering, including infrastructure automation, configurations, and cloud-native technologies.
- Experience in API implementation, Single sign integration and technical aspects of implementing vendor application.
- Experience with Agile methodology and JIRA tool to track and monitor all the work.
- Experience with SaaS onboarding and implementation processes, including security assessments and risk mitigation strategies. Knowledge of vendor contracts negotiations is plus.
- Excellent communication, influencing, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Ability to think strategically and solve complex problems, considering Citi's global reach and diverse business lines.
- Experience managing budgets and resources effectively.
- Ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
- Prior experience working within Citi, or a similar financial institution is highly preferred.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related field.
- Master’s degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:
$153,600.00 - $230,400.00
