The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Responsibilities:

Led Java/Springboot microservices development for Agency Lending
Mentored junior developers and guided architectural decisions for scalability
Optimized Oracle interactions with PL/SQL and automated deployments via Unix scripts
Integrated with IBM MQ and Kafka, resolving complex production issues
Addressed technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and stayed current with industry trends
Collaborated with business stakeholders and enforced Citi's engineering standards
Utilized Autosys for job scheduling and managed securities master/market data
Applied financial market knowledge while adhering to risk and governance policies

Qualifications:

5-8 years of relevant experience
Strong Proficiency: Core Java, Java EE, PL/SQL, Microservices(lightspeed, docker, Kubernetes), Spring, Springboot, Hibernate, Unix scripting, Team City, Udeploy, Autosys, RDBMS: Oracle
Good knowledge: OS: Red Hat Linux, Message Middleware: IBM MQ, Kafka, Tools: IntelliJ
Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications
Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
Working knowledge of consulting/project management techniques/methods
Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
Knowledge of Securities Finance, Financial Markets, Trading, Middle Office and Back Office functions a plus
