Risk Senior Program Group Manager

The Senior Program Group Manager plays a critical role within the Operational Risk Management PMO, driving process improvements and technology-enabled solutions to mitigate operational risks. This role blends strategic program management of operational risk initiatives with a focus on implementing and scaling automation solutions using the ITeSS platform.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of operational risk management principles, controls frameworks, and data governance, combined with expertise in business analysis, workflow design, and Agile methodologies. What you will be doing

• Oversee risks, controls, and regulatory initiatives related to Operational Risk Management (ORM) and automated solutions, utilizing Agile and Design Thinking methodologies for optimal outcomes
• Manage a diverse portfolio including MRAs, Strategic Projects, Consent Order RBCMs, Data Use Cases, and workflow implementation projects
• Provide leadership and mentorship to a cross-functional team comprising subject matter experts, project/program managers, business analysts, and workflow experts
• Assure alignment with Citi's principles, values, and priorities by providing a clear vision, setting success-oriented objectives, removing obstacles, and promoting continuous learning opportunities
• Cultivate an empowering environment that fosters professional development and career growth among team members
• Identify and implement areas of improvement and simplification within ORM and the broader Risk Organization, by deploying user-friendly, purpose-built workflow solutions that enable effective business outcome delivery and high solution adoption rates
• Develop and uphold a robust intake process for automation solution requests, collaboratively working with sponsors and stakeholders to determine the best approach
• Govern an inventory of automated solutions, tracking adoption metrics to maximize reuse and optimize resources

What we need from you

• Proven track record of success combining experience in program and project management, software delivery, with a focus on Agile methodologies
• Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities with a proven track record in steering cross-functional teams
• In-depth understanding of operational risk management, data governance, and business/systems analysis & architecture
• Practical application of Agile and Design Thinking frameworks
• Exceptional communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities with the aptitude to lead and influence diverse partners
• A hands-on approach, exemplifying leadership, with a willingness to undertake tasks directly and the capacity to motivate others to assume additional responsibilities
• Passionate about fostering a learning environment and promoting professional growth
• Collaborative approach when working with sponsors and stakeholders, effectively managing their expectations
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage a diverse portfolio
• Proficiency in tracking, analysing, and interpreting adoption metrics
• Hands-on experience with UX/UI design, workflow implementation, and best testing practices
