Team/Role Overview:

• The position is based in Warsaw within Global Wealth Regulatory Technology Team and required to focus on delivery of the work, ensuring a robust design

• Citi is looking to hire senior developer having experience in the latest open-source tech stack to build robust, clean back-end APIs and front-end interfaces.

• You will be expected to apply user-centered design processes to create high quality user experiences, and reusable patterns and assets for various products.

• You daily activities will focus over:

• Designing and maintaining common components

• Evaluating multiple concepts for projects and suggesting ideas are worth pursuing

• Fulfilling several requests simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines

• The position requires analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex material, technical or business or otherwise, from multiple sources

What you’ll do:

You will apply your skills and experience within fast-paced operations centric environment towards developing architecture and design for the regulatory platform at large. You will be required to work in Agile/DevOps Environment. You will be part of Global Wealth Regulatory Technology Team which is located in 3 countries (Poland, Switzerland and India) and will be working with other technology teams and business teams globally.

Key responsibilities:

• Act as a visionary and strategist for solution/application/system across the platform.

• Provide expertise to identify and translate system requirement into software design artifacts.

• Programming and solving problems

• Drive experiments to assess new solutions /application paths.

• Lead/participate in formation of architecture roadmap for the regulatory space in Citi.

• Work proactively & independently to address project requirements, and articulate issues/challenges at appropriate time to address project delivery risks.

• Follow industry wide best practices to minimize technical debt of software deliverables.

• Interface and coordinate tasks with internal and external technical resources. Collaborate to provide estimates, develop overall implementation solutions/ application plan, and serve as a lead as required, to implement the installation, customization and integration efforts

What we’ll need from you:

5+ years of experience with designing /architecting scalable software that processes, persists and distributes data via relational and non-relational technologies (design and development experience):

• Experience in design and development of medium to large-scale applications using open-source tech stack – Java 21, Spring boot, Spring batch, Microservices, Kafka, Kafka Streams

• Experience with databases: Oracle, No SQL databases, PL/SQL.

• Experience in System design and architecting applications components.

• Experience in writing unit test and integration test using standard frameworks, ensuring minimized technical debt.

• Experience in building CI CD pipeline and single click deployment -Jenkins, uDeploy, bitbucket.

• Experience in UNIX environment, UNIX scripts etc. will be added advantage.

• Ability to work independently and handle multiple concurrent initiative.

• Functional and Technical Specs documentation.

• Experience with testing concepts (TDD, BDD) and Junit

• Strong communication skills
