Valuation Control Junior Analyst

Team/Role Overview:
The Valuation Control Group (VCG) is an independent global group within Product Control responsible for reviewing and reporting fair value inventory and IPV across all asset classes.
VCG is organized along business lines and clients of the group include Business Heads, Line Product Control, Market Risk, Model Risk, Compliance, Legal Department, Middle Office, Internal Audit, external audit firms and the regulatory bodies in countries impacted by Citi’s footprint. VCG collaborates closely with its client base to ensure complete understanding of business valuation issues and accurate execution of valuation control policy.
The successful candidate will work the Non-Markets Valuation Control team and will be expected to have hands-on involvement to ensure the completeness, accuracy and integrity of the bank's books and records. Non-Markets covers Citi business units in Banking, Services, US Personal Banking, Wealth, and All Other (Corporate Treasury and Legacy Franchises).
Responsibilities:
Responsible for working across Product Control, Risk and Operations and Business to perform IPV.
Assisting with price testing, fair value hierarchy, and valuation adjustment calculations for all Non-Markets businesses across multiple different asset classes.
Assisting with ensuring a high level of accuracy across all reported numbers, high quality of pertaining commentaries, and adequate legal entity focus.
Assisting with valuation reporting and responding to questions related to the assigned processes.
Completing all tasks as assigned by supervisor or manager.
Skills and Qualifications:
1 – 2 years of relevant experience.
Fluent English (verbal/written) at minimum B2 level.
Strong data analysis, data mapping and reconciliation skills.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Willingness to learn technical/IT skills; Some experience in SQL, VBA, Python, Tableau, or KNIME would be a great advantage.
Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks to ensure deadlines are met.
Self-motivated and innovative.
Exceptional candidates may be considered for the role even if not all requirements are met.
Education:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any finance, economics, or quantitative related subject.
