Program Management Lead

The Program Management Lead is a senior professional who can adapt to the needs of the organization. This individual will be capable of understanding the products managed by the business and will focus on ensuring what is required they are compliant with all policies and procedures. This role will represent the business in Governance forums and must be able to present any findings or provide feedback on the areas of discussion. Must have developed communication and diplomacy skills to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the business and products.
Responsibilities:
- Support planning, directing and coordination of day-to-day activities of running a program or multiple workstreams
- Apply in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the subfunction as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function and, requires basic commercial awareness.
- Oversee program plans meet business needs as described in the program initiation documents
- Ensure all stakeholders are identified and included in scope definition activities and understand the program schedule and key milestones
- Work with Program Sponsor to ensure business case cost benefit analysis is in line with business objectives
- Monitor program commitment from those assigning resources
- Escalate program risks to the Program Director, or Program Sponsor, when appropriate
- Create the program risk management plan
- Ensure essential procedures are followed and contributes to defining standards
Ideal background:
- 6-10 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s/University degree
- Broad knowledge of product management, product governance and overall risk & control management
- Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written, with the ability to articulate complex and sensitive issues to management
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Excel
- Demonstrate understanding of operational capabilities of suppliers across applicable business types
