The Sec & Derivatives Lead Analyst (VP) is a senior level position responsible for processing orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The overall objective of this role is to facilitate the clearance, settlement and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions.

Job Description

Japan FDC Middle Office is looking for a candidate who supports Exchange Listed Future and Options business locally as exchange (JPX/TFX) facing entity. The individual will be a senior member in the team who provides oversight on day-to-day activities and taking a lead in core projects as Subject Matter Expert.

In this role, you’re expected to:

  • CCP Margin (JSCC/TFX): Manage daily Initial Margin and Variation Margin requirement & cash settlement on listed future and option products. 
  • Client Margin: Process daily margin with domestic clients and affiliates. The task includes to manage and deliver daily margin statements.
  • Trade Management: Ensure that trades are captured correctly in the booking system by performing trade reconciliation with exchanges and clients.
  • Reconciliation: Perform exchange reconciliation, GL reconciliation and account substantiation.
  • Client Services: Handle Japanese clients’ inquiries.
  • Projects: Lead market changes and internal projects as Subject Matter Expert.
  • Supervisory Responsibility: Governance and oversight of outsourced daily coverage performed by Singapore team.
  • Understand exchange rules and regulations and comply with them. Implement robust controls in routine functions from risk and control perspective.

As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:

  • 10-15 years' experience in financial industries
  • Exchange Listed Future and Option products knowledge and experiences
  • Fluent verbal and written skills in the both Japanese and English
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong team player who works well in a global and regional team
  • Ability to influence change and implement process improvements is essential

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualification

  • Operation Experience of JPX, TFX and JSCC
  • Experience of working in global firm
  • Client Clearing Experience
