Front End Tech Lead

Citi, a leading global bank with a strong presence in Ireland since 1965, seeks a highly skilled Front-End Lead to join our Issuer Services team. You will play a pivotal role in re-engineering a critical legacy application into a modern, cutting-edge web-based platform. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in Angular and web development to deliver innovative solutions for a global financial institution.
Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor front-end developers across multiple teams, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
Architect and develop high-performance, scalable, and user-friendly Angular applications.
Translate complex business requirements into elegant technical solutions.
Drive the adoption of modern web development best practices and technologies.
Ensure the delivery of high-quality code through rigorous testing and code reviews.
Collaborate effectively with business analysts, back-end developers, and other stakeholders.
Contribute to the technical strategy and roadmap for the Issuer Services platform.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Several years of software development experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
Deep expertise in Angular (latest versions), TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, and CSS.
Proven experience architecting and developing complex web applications.
Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and interaction design.
Proficiency in unit testing frameworks (e.g., Jasmine, Jest) and CSS preprocessors (e.g., Sass).
Experience with Git, code reviews, and Agile development methodologies.
Comfortable working with IDEs like Visual Studio Code.
Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles.
Knowledge of server-side languages (Java preferred) and computer science fundamentals (Networking, Security, Databases).
Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentorship skills.
Experience in the financial services industry is a plus.
