Front End Tech Lead

Citi, a leading global bank with a strong presence in Ireland since 1965, seeks a highly skilled Front-End Lead to join our Issuer Services team. You will play a pivotal role in re-engineering a critical legacy application into a modern, cutting-edge web-based platform. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in Angular and web development to deliver innovative solutions for a global financial institution.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor front-end developers across multiple teams, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

• Architect and develop high-performance, scalable, and user-friendly Angular applications.

• Translate complex business requirements into elegant technical solutions.

• Drive the adoption of modern web development best practices and technologies.

• Ensure the delivery of high-quality code through rigorous testing and code reviews.

• Collaborate effectively with business analysts, back-end developers, and other stakeholders.

• Contribute to the technical strategy and roadmap for the Issuer Services platform.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Several years of software development experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role.

• Deep expertise in Angular (latest versions), TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, and CSS.

• Proven experience architecting and developing complex web applications.

• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and interaction design.

• Proficiency in unit testing frameworks (e.g., Jasmine, Jest) and CSS preprocessors (e.g., Sass).

• Experience with Git, code reviews, and Agile development methodologies.

• Comfortable working with IDEs like Visual Studio Code.

• Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles.

• Knowledge of server-side languages (Java preferred) and computer science fundamentals (Networking, Security, Databases).

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentorship skills.

• Experience in the financial services industry is a plus.
