The infrastructure job family provides the critical technical foundation for Citi’s operations and is responsible for delivering reliable IT solutions, scalable infrastructure services, and secure capabilities while creating a trusted customer experience and enabling Citi’s workforce to be the best for our clients. Your time here will look something like this.

During your time in the program, you will build the necessary professional skills for future technical positions by participating in two rotations. Assignments change each year based on the business needs of each group. Below are some examples of assignments:

• Data Center Operations - Focused on ensuring availability, supporting demand, managing risk and maintaining overall stability. Tools We Use - Virtualization Tools (VMWare, Hyper-V), Linux, Network Configuration, Python, PowerShell.
• IT Support Operations - Technical support (on-site or remotely) ensuring that Citi's technical systems operate smoothly. Tools We Use - MS Windows, MS O365, MS Office, MS Exchange, MS Active Directory, MS Intune, MS SCCM, Liquit Workspace, MS Autopilot, Adaptiva OneSite, Python, Microsoft .Net, Azure, SharePoint, iOS, macOS, Linux, Printers, Telephony, Remote Access, ServiceNow, JIRA, Avaya, Cloud Desktop, ADMAN, Access Management Console, CUCA, ResolveIT, Safeword Premier, SAAS, Voyager, VM Ware, Systrack, CHDP, Cyberark, WAIS, Zoom.
• Mainframe – Citi’s Mainframe environment is extensive, hosting over 1,000 applications and more than 46,000 databases. Mainframe handles the majority of the firm’s transaction processing, highlighting its critical role in daily operations. Provides rich Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) support and enables elastic capacity in our on-premise hosting services.
• Production Operations – Maintain service and order across all of Citi’s functions by reducing operating risk and increasing availability across enterprise services with Site Reliability (SRE).
• Storage Operations - Responsible for designing, certifying, supporting, and maintaining highly available, secure and cost-effective storage solutions. Tools We Use - NetApp OnTap System Manager, Dell/EMC Unisphere, Splunk, Hitachi HiCommand, Hitachi Ops Center, Dell/EMC ScaleIO GUI and SCLI for PowerFlex, IBM Block storage & element manager, Brocade SANNav, Cisco DCNM, TCP/IP & Ethernet, IBM Cloud object storage (COS) & Element Manager, Rubrik, Actifio, Veritas Netbackup, DataDomain, Solix, Python, NodeJS, Java, HTML, BASH, Go, Ansible, Chef, CI/CD tools, storage provisioning portal (SONIC), Splunk, Tableau, Kafka, Bitbucket/Github, JIRA, SQL, MSaaS, Docker, OpenShift, VMware, Container Storage Module (CSM), Nginx, PowerBI.
• System Administrator - Provide 24/7 global support for 200K+ assets, ensuring compliance, hygiene, security, and stability on infrastructure that powers the firm’s most important revenue-bearing and regulatory applications. Tools We Use - RedHat Linux, Python, Ansible, Chef, SCOM, SCCM, Powershell, SQL, Tableau, QlikSense, Bitbucket/Github, ServiceNow, JIRA, Kofax, Abbyy, Systran, Docusign, Starfleet, CyberArk, LAN/WAN, Zoom, MS Teams, SharePoint.
• Systems Infrastructure Operations - Ensures IT operations are supported by robust, efficient, and future-ready infrastructure. Tools We Use - AWS, Google, Azure, Infrastructure Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), IBM Websphere Application Services (WAS ND), Tibco, MQ, Kafka, Tomcat, Oracle, SQL Server, Mongo, Postgres, Containerization deployments of Java, Python, Node.js, Nginx, PEGA, Redis, Spark, Kubernetes/OpenShift, IBM zSeries, Linux, Unisys, Tandem.
• Virtualization - Provides a platform that allows our partners to move to multi-cloud. Tools We Use - AWS, GCP, Azure, Terraform, HashiCorp tools, Golang, Java, Kotlin, Python, C++, Ruby, Linux/Unix, Docker, Kubernetes, Harness, Jenkins.

We want to hear from you if…

· You are currently pursuing a university bachelor’s degree or Licenciatura in related technical areas. You must be graduated between June 2023 and June 2025.

· You are bilingual Spanish and English. Intermediate-advanced English level (B2+, C1)

· Able to work in a hybrid model.

· You have strong verbal and written communication skills.

· You are creative in solving problems and are intellectually curious.

· You are focused on achieving group and client objectives and able to build and maintain relationships.

· You must possess valid Costa Rica work authorization in order to be eligible to participate in the Program. Citi will not sponsor any Program participants for employment in CR.
