Job Description
IT Lead Analyst for Issue Execution is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence, and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.
Responsibilities:
Conduct process analysis and reviews for the respective IT development teams to ensure compliance to the policies, identify risks, mitigations and explore process improvement opportunities to create more efficiency and productivity.
Ensure execution of actions that are identified as an outcome of the Issues, Corrective action plans and ensure agreement (actions can be related with a specific IT department’s risk, specific actions that come out of Manager’s Control Assessment framework, regulatory commitment etc.)
Conduct IT assessments and leverage industry standard practices/tools to identify opportunities for strengthening the control environment.
Identify and act as the responsible Technology manager for existing and emerging risks and for issues drafted by internal and external audit and guide Technology on the next set of actions
Ensure compliance of Wealth Tech to Citi Information Technology and Information Security Policies, Standards and Procedures.
Monitor Technology control environment for control gaps or failures, identify and work with respective IT owners on risk related exceptions and coordinate with key risk partners.
Evaluate existing key Tech processes and identify IT risk management issues, concerns and emerging risks associated with them
Ensure that appropriate awareness and risk mitigation actions occur to resolve technology risk issues.
Establishes governance processes to create lasting solutions for minimizing losses from failed internal processes, inadequate controls, and emerging risks and oversees the application of Technology policies and standards among Wealth Tech teams. Leads the creation of self-identified issues for Technology when needed.
Assess and drive actions to address the root causes of practices that persistently leads to Issues in Technology.
Performs root cause analysis partnering with respective Technology, Information Security and other line of defense partners and drive corrective actions such as implementation of necessary controls within Wealth Technology teams as per the results of the analysis.
Work with IT partners to review all the concerns coming out of the internal/external Audits, OCC and ORM, help disposition the risk and timely remediation of issues identified
Upon audit completion, works with Technology teams to manage audit issues, identify all issues impacting Technology in the final Audit report, and ensure execution of the Corrective actions to drive these audit issues to resolution.
Provide support to Technology teams for the internal and external audits/exams that would require framing of opening and closure of audit issues
Work with the Technology and Information Security teams to ensure respective enhancements are put in place to address Cyber Security (Vulnerability Assessments etc), Management Observation and regulatory issues.
Identify gaps between processes and Tech execution practices and propose control-centric solutions, self-identified issues to close the gaps
Conducts a broad range of complex process monitoring, product evaluation and audit assignments.
Follows industry quality trends; applies to current environment as appropriate. Interacts with various levels of management; communicates technology level process changes.
Monitors products for conformance to standards; monitors processes for conformance to procedures; identifies risks; ensures annual organizational reviews of standards and procedures are conducted.
Documents findings and performs root cause analyses. Recommends solutions and improvements to existing standards and procedures; collaborates with other areas in technology to develop new standards and procedures.
Ensures all corrective actions are assigned, documented and completed.
Acts as advisor and mentor for junior members of the team.
Performs other duties and functions as assigned such as Regulatory and exam management, regulatory commitments etc.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
6-10 years experience in a Controls related role. Ability to work independently or within groups on tasks assigned
Requires in-depth knowledge, understanding and analytical thought. Exhibits comprehensive knowledge of several areas within IT Controls, processes, quality and issue remediation and has a good understanding of the industry.
Requires in-depth understanding of underlying Technology processes, Project Management and Risk Management domains.
Requires thorough understanding of strategic direction of the function within the relevant part of the business, combined with a solid conceptual/practical grounding in both the function and/or area of expertise and related subject areas.

Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred

$114,720.00 - $172,080.00
