Services Information Management Technology Director is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the technology strategy, execution, and delivery of initiatives tied to Citi’s regulatory consent order remediation program. The position focuses on enhancing technology systems, data architecture and infrastructure to address regulatory requirements related to risk management, compliance, and internal controls. The Director will lead cross functional technology teams for regulatory and also Modernization Programs across Investor and Issuer Services for Data Application, collaborate with business and compliance stakeholders, and ensure that IT solutions meet expectations of regulators such as Federal Reserve and OCC.

We are looking for a person who promotes challenge the status quo, but considers all options and drives consensus with multiple stakeholders and to lead adoption of new technologies.  The successful candidate will be comfortable thinking strategically at a high level and diving deep in pursuit of solving Services business and technology problems to move the bank forward; and provide support to team members in development of technical, leadership and other professional skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Technology Strategy: Develop and execute a technology roadmap to support consent order remediation, focusing on system upgrades, data integrity, and process automation.

  • Project Oversight: Lead large-scale IT projects to modernize platforms, improve data governance, and strengthen risk and control systems, ensuring alignment with regulatory deadlines.

  • System Remediation: Oversee the design, development, and implementation of technology solutions to address deficiencies identified in consent orders (e.g., data aggregation, reporting capabilities, or controls)

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business leaders, risk officers, compliance teams, and regulators to define technology requirements and ensure seamless integration of solutions.

  • Regulatory Alignment: Ensure all technology deliverables meet regulatory standards, providing documentation and evidence for audits and regulatory reviews.

  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership and regulators on technology progress, risks and milestones, using data driven insights and metrics.

  • Lead Services Technology engineering technical strategy, architecture and application design; envisioning business purpose, managing risks, process efficiency and user-interface design; Develops deep technical understanding of key systems, processes and interdependencies.

  • Design and leverage enterprise tools, processes and functionality to execute key Retail Risk processes and applications in a consistent enterprise framework ensuring effective business controls are established and maintained.

  • Accountable for completion of all project deliverables within book of work and ensures completion and communication of Risk mitigation plans, critical path and dependencies, project recovery and business continuity plans

  • Directs, manages, implements and executes on business solutions, overseeing and optimizing projects, project teams and project performance

  • Drives delivery and continuous improvement by utilizing feedback and metrics to identify areas of opportunity leverage industry proven frameworks and drive the appropriate methodology to focus on predicable, quality delivery and driving continuous improvement of the organization

  • Monitors key milestones and outcomes of projects in the program(s) throughout the project lifecycle to ensure adherence to established quality standards

  • Oversees and contributes to the development of project definition and scope at the project level

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of senior technology leadership experience

  • 10+ years of experience with financial products

  • 10+ years of software delivery management experience

  • Good experience in software engineering and building financial platforms

  • Working experience of partnering with Program Management Office and Business stakeholders

  • Working experience of managing large delivery teams

  • Working knowledge of the industry and competitors’ products and services

  • Advanced knowledge of strategic direction of the function within relevant part of the business

  • Demonstrated leadership, management, and development skills

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$170,000.00 - $300,000.00
