Team/Role Overview
Given heightened expectations from regulators and a goal to build a strong and consistent global control environment, Citi continues to enhance its business governance framework to support 1st and 2nd line Risk Management functions. Enterprise Data Office is a critical component of Citi’s Data Transformation initiative and is responsible for data remediation and product development for wholesale and counterparty credit risk management and works with Independent Risk teams to ensure best-in-class risk and controls, as well as client responsiveness. The Product Development team within EDO is responsible for building tools to a) provide in-depth quantitative or qualitative analysis to solve business problems and develop new, innovative solutions b) build tools to help measure, monitor and control counterparty risk for institutional clients and c) portfolios and businesses, with a focus on counter-party and collateral risk to ensure the risks are being properly measured and controlled in accordance with the Firm’s risk policies.
What you'll do:
- Lead product development team for XVA Stress Loss, Loans stress loss and Private Equity Stress Test that includes high priority BAU and Regulatory deliverables
- Define business requirements, finalize technology solutions, infrastructure design and UAT Impact Analysis
- Work in close co-ordination with in-business risk managers, second line risk managers and senior stakeholders to understand their priorities and build the technology book of work
- Work with technology to build infrastructure for effective, accurate and timely risk management and reporting for XVA and Loans
- Lead a team of BA/PMs to provide governance around the XVA and Loans workstreams
- Help track and address data and methodology issues, develop weekly metrics and remediation plans for technology fixes
- Build and track coverage metrics and help resolve coverage issues
- Work with technology to understand front office, credit and market risk infrastructure, systems and data flows. Identify and document gaps and suggest improvements for target state build-out
- Communicate key findings and issues to senior management and provide regular status updates
- Create presentations and documents for internal and regulatory use on various topics including, stress methodologies, and summarizing stress testing issues
What we'll need from you:
- SME in counterparty credit risk, risk management concepts, data, systems and processes
- Understanding of Derivatives, SFTs and other wholesale products
- Understanding of stress testing, credit and market data, pricing, calculations and reporting
- Strong Excel skills ideally incorporating VBA (Visual Basic for Applications)
- Experience handling large volumes of data, database programming skills, Python, R or other statistical languages is a plus
- Large scale project management experience
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with good attention to detail and a demonstrated aptitude for tackling issues
- Ability to work well with cross-functional teams from Business, Credit, Operations and Compliance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Intellectual curiosity, analytical and conceptual
- Ability to collaborate and clearly communicate with senior members of an organization
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
