Serves as a Markets product compliance risk officer for ICRM responsible for assisting with internal strategies, policies, procedures, processes, and programs to prevent violations of law, rule, or regulation and design and deliver a risk management framework that maintains risk levels within the firm's risk appetite and protect the franchise. In addition, this role engages with the ICRM Product and Function coverage teams, in order to partner to develop and apply ICRM program solutions that meet the function/business/product and customer needs in a manner consistent with the Citi program framework. Primary responsibilities include supporting the relevant Markets business lines through compliance function/business/product and guidance on function/business/product rules/laws and interpretation on internal policies and procedures.

The Markets CBO and Cluster Sales Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM) team is responsible for building the global compliance risk management framework and coverage for cross-enterprise business initiatives, Markets Sales, ESG, innovation, infrastructure investments, and emerging technologies, including GenAI, machine learning and digital assets.

A successful candidate in this role will be expected to:

  • Manage key projects and deliverables, coordinating across various first and second line stakeholders
  • Develop comprehensive project plans including milestones and activities, resources, and timelines for key regulatory and compliance infrastructure driven projects
  • Design impactful presentations that translate complex data, regulatory, and compliance considerations into clear insights suitable for diverse audiences, including colleagues and senior compliance management



Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the design, development, delivery and maintenance of best-in-class Compliance, programs, policies and practices for ICRM.
  • Assisting with regulatory inquiries and/or examinations. This may include coordination with regulators and other parties.
  • Collaborating with other internal areas including: Legal, Business Management, Operations, Technology, Finance, other Control Functions, and In-Business Risk to address compliance issues which may impact the supported function/business/product.
  • Supporting the function/business/product in performing timely compliance reviews of new products.
  • Assisting in the development and administration of Compliance training for the supported function/business/product.
  • Researching any new reform rules and rule changes and implementing policies, procedures or other controls necessary to comply with the rules.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a self-starter, flexible, innovative and adaptive

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills and capability to handle multiple projects at one time
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience creating insights from data sets through use of dashboards, data visualization, and presentation software (PowerPoint, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.) is desirable

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree; experience in compliance, consulting, legal, project management or other related roles within a financial services firm, regulatory organization, legal/consulting firm, or a combination thereof; Advanced degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$142,320.00 - $213,480.00
