About the Team

Enterprise Services and Public Affairs seeks to enhance and protect the reputation of Citi, its businesses, and the brand through direct and indirect communication with Citi's various stakeholders, including our colleagues. The Global Communications team is a nimble team in Enterprise Services and Public Affairs that covers a broad scope of responsibilities, ranging from Executive communications and public engagements to quarterly earnings and corporate reputation programs as well as communications that support our lines of business. The nature of the work provides a dynamic environment where members of the team serve as company spokespeople to media, drive engagement with colleagues and develop external and internal digital communications for a global workforce of more than 200,000 colleagues. Within Citi, the team works with many internal partners, including senior leadership, and regularly coordinates closely with other members of the Global Public Affairs team across the world.

About the Role

The Vice President of Communications Operations and Business Management is a key member of the Global Communications organization. You will work with senior leadership and partners throughout the Global Communications team, Enterprise Services and Public Affairs, and across the global functions to support and further develop key programs that drive strong operations and business management capabilities in the global organization, with a focus on our risk and controls and governance activities.

Responsibilities:

  • In partnership with members of the Communications Operations and Business Management team, support activities that strengthen operational processes, governance and audit-readiness
  • Manage Global Communications operational testing, maintenance and related processes in partnership with Global Communications team members and other functional partners
  • Ensure soundness of Global Communications’ data and representation as relates to operations activities
  • Lead Audit-related efforts, records management activities and issues management for Global Communications
  • Partner closely with Communications leadership and teams to inform and advise on both ongoing operations work and to identify areas of opportunity

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, communications, marketing, or another related field
  • Knowledge of communications or marketing and 4-6 years of increased responsibility for business management, preferably with a large and complex organization
  • Strong communications (written, verbal and interpersonal) skills, including tact, diplomacy, and ability to influence senior executives
  • Affinity working through complex initiatives and translating them for a broader audience’s understanding  
  • Comfort operating in the unknown and determining a strategic path forward
  • Integrity, maturity, dependability, a positive professional attitude
  • A team player who will implement initiatives effectively and motivate others to contribute
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based, multi-time zone organization
  • Track record of success delivering high quality work in a fast paced and dynamic environment

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$129,840.00 - $194,760.00
