Asset Services Analyst focusing on Corporate Actions
Responsibilities:
- Monitor, analyze, and interpret mandatory corporate action events (dividends, mergers, acquisitions, stock splits, spin-offs, rights issues, etc.)
- Ensure accurate and timely capture of event details into internal systems
- Coordinate with custodians, depositories, and internal stakeholders (middle office, risk, and operations) to validate event information and entitlements.
- Perform detailed entitlement calculations and reconciliations for impacted client positions, ensuring accuracy in downstream processing
- Facilitate timely dissemination of event information to internal teams and ensure correct posting of proceeds or adjustments to client accounts
- Manage exceptions, investigate discrepancies, and escalate complex issues to relevant teams for resolution to minimize financial risk
- Participate in audit requests, internal controls, and continuous process improvements for operational efficiency and compliance
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of global market practices, regulatory requirements, and changes in corporate action standards
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher - Finance is a plus but not necessary
- Advanced level of English (spoken and written)
- Theoretical knowledge, understanding of:
- Multiple types of investment instruments including: Equity securities, Fixed Income and Asset Backed securities, or
- Custody, Asset Services business, or
- Role of a Custody bank in Finance industry, or
- Funds Reconciliation and processing
- 2+ years of work experience with investment banking background in one of the following:
- Operational experience in Corporate Actions - would be a huge advantage, or
- Asset Services in non operational functions but with understanding of the Asset Services function, or
- Trades Settlement processing, or
- Funds Reconciliation and processing, or
- Tax Reclaim Services, or
- Transfer Agency
