Migrations Analyst

The Migration Analyst will be involved in the on-boarding of the new client’s Funds as part of the Fund Accounting Migration workstream.  The Global FA Migrations project team is focused on on-boarding new funds to the Citi Fund Accounting platforms, Multifonds and FIS-InvestOne, to create and reconcile the opening NAV position.

The role holder should have strong Third-Party Administration Fund Accounting knowledge and be familiar with the reconciliations.

Previous on-boarding / migrations experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the design, build & implementation of processes & control functions for the Fund Accounting migration workstream.

• Analysis and mapping of Fund Accounting migration data through the migration load and reconciliation tool

• Performing the Fund Accounting migration data load through the tool and reconciling the Net Asset Value (NAV)

• Collation, monitoring and delivery of all evidencing required by the client within the migration framework.

• Requirements collation for migration approach & execution

• Responsible for ensuring migration “best practices” are followed during the migration design, build, test & implementation phases.

• Assist with the design and implementation of Migration procedures, checklists & rulebooks as directed by the Migration project manager, raise all issues/concerns identified

• Close collaboration with Fund Accounting Ops teams during the migration events to investigate & resolve defects/breaks.

Knowledge/Experience:

• Accounting experience & Third-Party Administration FA Ops experience essential.

• Good understanding of financial instruments (Bonds, equities, CD/CP, Dividends, Deposits, Forward FX, Futures, Options, etc.)

• Experience of using different fund accounting systems, providing an understanding of how systems can cause differences.

• Tax knowledge advantageous, i.e. foreign tax treaties and withholding tax, Corp tax

• Previous experience of data & Fund Accounting migration projects

• Able to identify what minimum controls should be in place to ensure integrity and completeness of migration data.

• Experience of using or supporting FIS-InvestOne and Multifonds preferred.
