Finance Solutions Senior Group Manager/Director

Team/Role Overview:
The Finance Solutions Senior Group Manager (Director) will join the global Quality Assurance Transaction Testing Team within Finance and will manage multiple teams across regions (APAC, NAM, Warsaw) through other managers (6 direct reports). This is an exciting pioneering position as the successful Candidate will be directly involved in building a new Team in Warsaw. This will offer significant opportunities for strategizing and shaping the direction of the Team.
What you'll do:
Contributes to the design, roll-out and governance of financial solutions.
Participates in formulating and setting strategic direction for the process, organization and architecture covering Finance across Citi businesses, products, functions and locations.
Assists in setting business and information architecture standards for Finance.
Plays a part in settling and operating necessary forums and frameworks to establish and govern policies and starts for global Finance processes.
Participates in assessing and incorporating changing business, regulatory and market information needs into finance processes and applications
Full management responsibility of multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning.
Responsible for determining approach to implementing functional strategy and execution in area managed.
Accountable for end results, budgeting, planning, policy formulation and contribution to future strategy of the area(s). Impact reflects size of team managed, strategic influence on the business and interaction with other functions or businesses.
Implements financial initiatives and manages the work of the department ensuring appropriate staffing and organizational structures are in place for their area.
Partners with the business to improve efficiency, effectiveness, productivity and / or control.
Often required to develop new concepts and approaches to solving issues affecting business/ geographic region or a major segment of it.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made.
What we'll need from you:
15+ years of relevant experience within the financial services industry required.
Proven leadership/people management skills; Experience in managing global teams will be a great advantage.
In depth knowledge of banking products (securities, derivatives etc.), systems and how own sub-function contributes to achieving the objectives of the function.
Thorough knowledge of strategic direction of the function within the relevant part of the business, combined with a solid conceptual/practical grounding in the function and/or area of expertise and related subject areas.
Extensive knowledge of the industry, direct competitors' products and services in order to contribute effectively to the commercial objectives of the business.
Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level.
Some external communication/negotiation may be necessary.
Frequently involved with a variety of broad based and complex issues requiring conceptual and strategic thinking.
Effective problem solving skills, attention to detail, and sense of urgency
Advanced English language skills (verbal and written)
Education:
Bachelor's degree; Master's degree and managerial experience would be a great advantage.
