Job Purpose:
To provide support to the Citi UK/Europe Retirement Manager, Europe Retirement team and work with any applicable Trustee Boards, Committees and sub-Committees.
Key role in the management of the Citi Europe Retirement Plans managed through Europe
The role will involve working closely with the HR Community, European counterparts in other Citigroup businesses outsourced vendors/administrators as well as applicable Trustee Boards and Committees
What you'll do:
Support the UK/Europe Retirement Manager and Europe Retirement team in carrying out the following duties:
Support the Europe Retirement team to ensure the correct running of the company pension arrangements
Act as a pensions specialist and work with other specialist areas (eg HR, Payroll) as appropriate to provide seamless support to employees and members.
Contribute to pensions projects as well as support the delivery of business-as-usual activities.
Support the Europe Retirement team in their role as liaison to or member of applicable Trustee Boards and Committees as required.
Own the preparation of agendas, papers and minutes for Committees and sub-Committees as required; Present papers/updates at Trustee meetings and review advisor papers as necessary.
Support the Europe Retirement team in managing the relationship with the third-party administrator and outsourced vendors, resolving issues and ensuring Service Level Agreement (SLAs) are met, relevant changes to schemes or potential developments which impact on administration are acted on appropriately, with a view of taking responsibility for the management directly for some vendors. Escalate any issues to the UK/Europe Retirement Manager and Europe Retirement team as appropriate.
Work closely with payroll and the administrators to resolve data and contribution issues.
Manage production and review of communication materials, including first drafts where appropriate
Potentially lead 1:1s with members and employees, acting as the pensions specialist
Support and manage the selection process for outsourced vendors; Support and manage projects in respect of any aspect of pension provision
Work with the flex benefits system, ensuring pension plans set up correctly
Support and manage budgets and vendor invoice management
What we'll need from you:
6-10 years of relevant experience
Technical Pensions Experience
Expert understanding of European pension plan technical requirements and operation
Broad understanding of HR practices in general and pension and benefits provision in particular
Strong background in dealing with corporate processes, payroll, budgets, and invoice management
Ability to deal confidently with a wide range of internal and external third parties
Experience of working with Trustee Boards and Committees
Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel
Ability to meet deadlines while dealing with multiple priorities.
Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills (min. C1 English language level)
Education:
Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
